Privacy Policy

Skopos turns a business’s own Google Sheet into a scoreboard shown on its office TV or in a browser. This policy explains what data Skopos accesses, how it is used, and how to have it removed.

Who this applies to

Skopos is a tool bought by a business (the “customer”) to display that business’s own numbers. The people who view the board, such as a customer’s staff, are not asked for any personal information, and the board does not identify, track, or profile them.

What we access

  • The Google Sheet the customer connects. The customer shares a spreadsheet they already maintain. Skopos reads the cells needed to compute the board (such as deal counts, revenue, and dates). That sheet may contain business records the customer placed there; Skopos only reads it, never writes to it.
  • Board settings. The goals and colors a customer sets, stored so the board renders consistently.
  • An access code.A short code that identifies which customer a TV belongs to and unlocks that customer’s board.

How we use it

The data is used for one purpose: to compute and display the customer’s board. Sheet data is fetched on demand and held briefly in memory (around 30 seconds) to keep the display responsive; it is not stored permanently. Settings and the customer’s configuration are stored in our database so the board keeps working between sessions.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent any data.
  • We do not show advertising on the board.
  • We do not run analytics or tracking on the people viewing the board.
  • We do not collect personal information from board viewers.

Service providers

Skopos runs on Vercel (hosting) and stores configuration in a managed Postgres database. Board data is read from Google Sheets using the access the customer grants. These providers process data only to operate the service. All traffic is served over HTTPS.

Security and retention

Boards are reached only with the customer’s access code. A customer’s settings are kept until the customer asks to remove them or their account is closed, at which point their configuration is deleted and their board stops working. Live sheet data is transient and is not retained.

Your choices

A customer can stop sharing the Google Sheet at any time, which ends Skopos’s access to it. To have a board and its stored settings deleted, contact us and we will remove them.
